Weekly Stock Market Overview - June 3, 2011

All the major US indices were negative. For the week the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped -290.32 points or -2.33%. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index dropped -30.94 points or -2.32%, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped -64.08 points or -2.29%. Read More ...

The Utilities sector was the strongest sector (-1.28%) last week followed by the Health Care sector (-1.40%). The Materials sector was the worst performing sector (-3.23%) of the week followed by the Industrial sector (-3.19%).

The Basic Materials sector is the most overvalued sector followed by Conglomerates, while Agricultural Chemicals, Oil & Gas Pipelines, and Specialty Chemicals are among the most overvalued industries. The Healthcare sector is the most oversold sector followed by Financial, while Money Center Banks, Investmnt Brokerage-Natl, and Life Insurance are among the most oversold industries.
